To check the general portal health, Privacera displays notifications to the users on top header when the user is logged in. These notifications are for:

  1. Discovery health check: This displays the status of the Discovery Services –the current Discovery status and the date of expiration.

To view the portal notification, use the following steps:

  1. On the Privacera home page, click the notification icon on the header section.

The Critical Issues or Warnings pop-up displays the list of critical issues or warnings with respect to the activities performed in the application.

The following are the columns in the Critical Issues or Warnings grid:

    • State: This indicates the state of notification. There are 3 states of the notification such as Ok state, Warning State and Critical state.

    • Version: Version number.

    • Service - Component: This indicates the name of service - component such as Discovery.

    • Type: This indicates the type of issue or warning such as process or general.

    • Last Update Time: This indicates the last updated time of issue or warning. You can view the exact date and time on hovering-over the column value.

    • Description: This indicates the description of issue or warning. For example: Privacera Discovery is in running state

    • Expiry Time: This indicates the expiry date of Keytab. Based on the expiry date, the state of notification gets changed.

The following are 3 states of the notification:

    • Normal state: This state displays the bell icon in Grey color which means everything is working fine and no action is needed from the user.

    • Warning State: This state displays the bell icon in orange color. This happens 10 days prior to Keytab gets expired. This is a warning to the user to update the Keytab before it gets expired to keep the privacera services up and running.

    • Critical state: This state displays the bell icon in Red color. This happens when Keytab has been expired. This indicates that the Keytab needs to be renewed for bringing the Privacera services up and running.

To add the Keytab expiry date, use the following steps:

  1. On the Privacera home page, click the notification icon on the header section.

The Critical Issues or Warnings pop-up displays with the list of critical issues or warnings with respect to activities performed in the application.

  2. Under the Expiry Time column, click the date-picker and select the expiry date.

  3. Click Close.

The Keytab expiry date is updated successfully.

You need to always keep the Keytab expiry date updated on the portal so that Portal can notify you whenever Keytab gets expired.
